Flames of War Tournament

The convention will feature a Flames of War tournament
Saturday February 6, at Williamsburg Muster beginning at 9:00am, lasting three rounds.

The tournament will be using Mid War army lists, the details are below.

All lists MUST be taken from either the new North Africa or the older Afrika book. Lists MUST be from the North Africa or Tunisian campaign, and cannot involve Sicily or Italy forces. Thus, all lists being made from the Afrika book should adhere to the guidelines set forth in the new North Africa book. If you do not own the new book, please feel free to contact me at indierockclimber@gmail.com with your proposed list and we can work together to make it historical.

The tournament is for 16 players, but will be limited to 8 allied players and 8 axis players.

Awards will be given for best painted army, best sportsmanship, best allied general, and best axis general.

The terrain boards that the battles will take place on will be heavily covered with terrain - do not expect moonscape, empty terrain.

  • 16 Players, 8 axis, 8 allied
  • ALL LISTS MUST BE PRE-APPROVED. Send them to me in any format, and I will approve them before hand. Lists sent to me before January 29th will earn the player an additional victory point.
  • AXIS VS ALLIES there will be no blue on blue matches. Thus when you sign up please indicate whether you wish to be axis or allies, and if you are capable of doing either. Once the slots are filled there will be an alternate list for both sides.
  • NO HEROES ALLOWED. Personal preference, let your grunts rise to the occasion and make heroes of themselves.
  • NO MID WAR MONSTERS. Self explanatory.
  • Contact the tournament organizer - Steven MacLauchlan to secure a place
  • No History writeup is required I know people like writing them, and feel free to bring one along, but there will be no award nor extra points for these. Sorry, I just don't feel like reading them.
  • Emails to Tournament organizer should have Muster FOW Tournament as the Subject Line.
